Tarot Guide
The 22 Major Arcana cards are a map of the soul's evolution. Each card is a lesson, each lesson a transformation.
What is Tarot?
Tarot is an ancient wisdom system of 78 cards. The 22 Major Arcana represent universal archetypes, the evolution of the soul, and life's greatest lessons.
The Fool's Journey
The 22 cards tell the story of The Fool traveling from innocence to wisdom. Each card is a stage of the soul — fall, rise, transformation, and integration.
How to Read?
Each card has an upright and reversed meaning. Upright shows energy flowing freely; reversed reveals blockages or shadows. Trust your intuition.
The Material World
Exploring the outer world
Upright Meaning
A new chapter is opening. The universe holds you at the edge of a cliff, but there is no fear of falling — because you are about to grow wings. With your innocence and courage, now is the time to leap into an unknown path. It is not logic speaking, but the heart.
Reversed Meaning
Caution. Jumping with your eyes closed is not courage — it is recklessness. The child within you wants to be free, but look beneath your feet first. A decision you have been postponing may be frightening — but avoidance is not the solution.
Upright Meaning
You have everything you need. On the table lie the four elements — fire, water, air, earth. Drawing energy from above and channeling it below. Your creative power is at its peak. It is time to manifest whatever you desire.
Reversed Meaning
You have the power but you are scattered. Your potential is immense, yet you cannot channel it anywhere. Perhaps you are slipping into manipulation — using others' energy for yourself will drain you in the long run.
Upright Meaning
There is wisdom within silence. This card tells you to stop and listen. The High Priestess, seated between two pillars, knows the truth behind appearances. Trust your intuition — that inner voice does not lie.
Reversed Meaning
You are silencing your intuition. Perhaps you have listened too much to others and lost your own inner voice. A secret may be hidden — either from you, or one you are keeping. Turn inward; the answer is there.
Upright Meaning
Abundance is at the door. Fertility, creativity, plenty — The Empress is Mother Earth herself. A project, a relationship, an idea is bearing fruit. Nurture yourself and those around you; let it grow with love.
Reversed Meaning
You have lost connection with yourself. You are neglecting your body and your needs. Your creative energy is blocked — perhaps you gave so much to others that nothing remains for you. Water your own garden first.
Upright Meaning
It is time to build structure. The Emperor stands for discipline, authority, and stability. Bring order to your life, set your boundaries, show your leadership. Build on solid foundations and you will create an unbreakable fortress.
Reversed Meaning
Excessive control is suffocating you and those around you. Your rigidity is killing flexibility. Perhaps you are clashing with an authority figure — or perhaps you are the one becoming tyrannical. Power comes through inspiration, not oppression.
Upright Meaning
Traditions, teachings, belonging to a system. The Hierophant is a guide — perhaps a teacher, an institution, or the moral compass within you. It is time to grow within community. Be open to learning.
Reversed Meaning
Blindly following rules does not set you free. Perhaps society's expectations are suffocating you. You may need to question in order to find your own belief, your own path. Everyone's truth does not have to be yours.
Upright Meaning
You are at a moment of choice. The Lovers card is not only about romantic love — it is the card of your values, the harmony between heart and mind. True love begins by becoming whole within yourself. Follow your heart in the choice before you.
Reversed Meaning
There is inner conflict. Your values and actions are not aligned. There may be imbalance in a relationship — or a fragmentation within yourself. Be honest with yourself: what do you truly want?
Upright Meaning
Victory is yours! But this is no easy triumph — it is a victory won through willpower and determination. You are commanding two opposing forces at once. Stay focused, do not release the reins. You are moving toward your goal.
Reversed Meaning
You are losing control. Two different directions are tearing you apart. Aggression or stubbornness is not working. Stop, breathe, recalibrate your course. Showing strength does not always mean charging forward.
The Inner World
Turning inward and awakening
Upright Meaning
True strength is closing the lion's mouth not with a fist but with love. Patience, compassion, and inner fortitude. Face your fears, anger, and passions gently yet firmly. Not brute force, but graceful power.
Reversed Meaning
You are doubting yourself. Your energy is low, and you feel you lack the stamina to wrestle the lion within. Perhaps you are being overwhelmed by your emotions. The strength is still there — you just need to reconnect with it.
Upright Meaning
It is time for an inner journey. The Hermit raises his lantern and finds his way even in darkness — because the light is not outside, but within. Solitude right now is not a punishment, but a gift. Be alone with your own wisdom.
Reversed Meaning
Solitude has turned into isolation. You have closed yourself off from the world, but this is not enriching you — it is impoverishing you. Perhaps you have lost your way and are searching for a guide, a light. Do not be afraid to step outside.
Upright Meaning
The wheel is turning. Life cycles, destiny, fortune — a great change is at the door. Even while rising, know that the bottom exists; while at the bottom, know the top will come. Everything is temporary, but each turn of the cycle takes you somewhere.
Reversed Meaning
You are resisting change, but the wheel does not stop. You may feel trapped in a negative cycle. What you call fate is yours to change — the wheel is broken from within, not from without.
Upright Meaning
A time of reckoning. The Justice card reminds you of cause and effect. You reap what you sow; what you do comes back to you. Be honest — with yourself and with others. A decision must be made, and it must be fair.
Reversed Meaning
You feel injustice. Perhaps your rights were denied, or perhaps you are not being honest with yourself. You are running from the consequences of your actions. The scales are unbalanced — but you are the one who can restore the balance.
Upright Meaning
Pause. This is not giving up — it is surrendering. The Hanged Man gains a new perspective when the world turns upside down. Letting go, waiting, releasing control is sometimes the most powerful move. If you must sacrifice, sacrifice consciously.
Reversed Meaning
You are resisting but you cannot move. Waiting has gone from strategy to paralysis. Procrastination and indecision are leaving you suspended. Sometimes you must cut the cord — come down and walk.
Upright Meaning
Something is ending so that something new can begin. The Death card does not represent physical death but profound transformation. Shed the old skin — the old habit, the old relationship, the old self. A closing door is an opening window.
Reversed Meaning
You are clinging to change out of fear. You are artificially keeping alive something that needs to end. Inner transformation can be painful, but running from it only makes it worse. Let it go.
Upright Meaning
Patience and moderation. The Temperance card is the angel pouring water between two cups — neither too much nor too little. Avoid excess, find the middle path. The healing process continues; trust in time. Everything has its rhythm.
Reversed Meaning
Your balance is disrupted. You have overloaded one side — work, relationships, health. Excess is depleting you. You need an inner realignment. Stop, breathe, recalibrate.
The Cosmic World
Spiritual transformation and integration
Upright Meaning
Face your shadow. The Devil card reveals addiction, attachment, enslavement to the material. But look closely at the chains — they are loose, you can remove them. What holds you is only as powerful as the permission you give it.
Reversed Meaning
Your awareness is growing. You are beginning to see what chains you — perhaps a habit, perhaps a toxic relationship, perhaps the greed for money. The process of liberation has begun, but it will not be easy.
Upright Meaning
Collapse. But this destruction is not a disaster — everything built on false foundations must fall so the truth can emerge. Lightning strikes, walls crack — and through those cracks, light enters. It will hurt, but it will set you free.
Reversed Meaning
You sense the destruction coming but you keep postponing it. Perhaps you are aware the structure is crumbling but you say 'maybe it will hold.' The tower's fall is inevitable — but if you dismantle it from within, you control the demolition.
Upright Meaning
After the storm, the sky clears. The Star card is hope, inspiration, and healing. The universe is with you — wounds are being tended, the spirit is renewing. Believe in your dreams again. Trust the water, surrender to the flow, follow the light.
Reversed Meaning
You have lost hope. The stars seem extinguished, and you are alone in the darkness. A crisis of faith, a loss of motivation. But the stars have not gone out — clouds merely cover them. Find a small light and hold on to it.
Upright Meaning
Nothing is as it seems. The Moon card represents illusion, fear, and the subconscious. In the darkness of night, shadows grow large — but shadows are not real. Trust your intuition, but do not let your fears steer you.
Reversed Meaning
Suppressed emotions are rising to the surface. Nightmares, anxieties, irrational fears. Your subconscious has a message for you — listen, but do not panic. When the moon is full, everything will be illuminated.
Upright Meaning
Light, warmth, success! The Sun is one of the brightest, most positive cards. Everything is illuminated, filled with joy. The child within you is dancing. Vitality, energy, happiness. The sun is rising for you.
Reversed Meaning
There is light, but it is starting to burn you. Excessive optimism, escapism from reality. Perhaps you appear happy on the outside but carry a shadow within. The sun is not everyone's sun — make peace with your own light.
Upright Meaning
A wake-up call. The trumpet sounds, souls are rising. Inner reckoning, rebirth, a time to review your life's account. Make peace with your past, accept your present, prepare for your future. The call is coming to you — answer it.
Reversed Meaning
Your inner critic is too harsh. You are judging yourself but offering no forgiveness. Perhaps you hear your calling but fear answering it. Forgive yourself and take the step. Judgement gathers not for punishment, but for liberation.
Upright Meaning
Completion. A cycle is closing, wholeness is being achieved. The World card is that magnificent moment at the threshold of success, the end of a journey, and the beginning of a new one. Dance — you have earned it. You are in harmony with the universe.
Reversed Meaning
Something remains unfinished. The sense of completion is not arriving; there is an unclosed cycle. Perhaps you have neared the goal but cannot take the final step. Shortcuts will not work — complete the process.
Tarot cards don't tell the future — they invite you into the present. Each card is a door to the wisdom within you.
